To provide consumers an accurate estimate of the cost of healthcare items
and services before they seek care, beginning January 1, 2021, the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all licensed hospitals
in the United States to post standard charges on a publicly available
website. The purpose is to make it easier for consumers to: 1) shop and
compare prices across hospitals and 2) estimate the cost of care before
going to the hospital.
Standard charges are available below as both a comprehensive machine-readable
file listing all services, as well as a consumer-friendly file of “shoppable
services.” Shoppable services are services that can be scheduled
by a healthcare consumer in advance such as outpatient visits, imaging
services, or laboratory tests.
Casa Colina Hospital recommends that patients contact their insurance company
directly to determine the projected cost of their stay at Casa Colina
Hospital, based on their individual insurance plans and the contracts
those insurers have with us. For certain services, the price is based
on average costs, depending on the actual services provided during the
episode of care. The actual price for healthcare services may vary from
those included in the files below.
