Who Will Benefit from Hyperbaric Medicine Services?
For patients with appropriate conditions, we offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
which is the standard of care for chronic non-healing diabetic wounds
and amputation sites. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy promotes and accelerates
healing by enabling large amounts of oxygen to be dissolved into the blood
and tissues, promoting new tissue growth. By receiving 100% oxygen in
state-of-the-art pressurized chambers, patients benefit immediately from
the therapeutic effects of higher tissue oxygen levels.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is recommended for patients with:
Chronic diabetic ulcers
Certain difficult-to-heal wounds
Compromised skin grafts and flaps
Non-healing amputation sites

There is a misconception with many severe open wounds that amputation is
unavoidable, particularly when diabetes is involved. To avoid amputation,
it is important to provide wound care education and treatment as early
as possible.

We Collaborate With Referring Physicians
Our team works with referring physicians to help establish a diagnosis
and treatment plan, as well as recommend ways to improve or maintain a
patient’s function. We welcome physicians to participate in the
assessment process, or we can provide the referring doctor with the results
and a recommended care plan. We accept most insurance providers, including Medicare.
