The Katrina Hannah Story
The world was shocked on October 1, 2017 when a lone gunman opened fire on concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Festival weekend in Las Vegas. Katrina Hannah of La Verne was shot once in the shoulder and once in the neck. Weeks later, she came to Casa Colina for inpatient rehabilitation, severely injured with lower-extremity paralysis. With extensive inpatient and outpatient therapies, Katrina eventually relearned to walk. She continues physical therapy to improve her functional mobility, and she recently completed her Master’s Degree at the University of La Verne. In addition to Casa Colina’s proven clinical pathways in treating spinal cord injury, Katrina credits strong family support and a terrific network of friends for helping in her recovery.
