Casa Colina’s Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports Program, Triumph Foundation, and The Perfect Step Invite Community to Free "Roll & Rally Sports Blast" for a Day of Inclusive Wheelchair Sports on March 15

POMONA, Calif., March 7, 2025 – Casa Colina's Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports program, in collaboration with Triumph Foundation and The Perfect Step, are thrilled to announce the "Roll & Rally Sports Blast," a dynamic and inclusive wheelchair sports event for people of all abilities. Together, these organizations aim to break barriers, promote adaptive athletics, and showcase the limitless possibilities for individuals with disabilities. This free family-friendly celebration will take place on Saturday, March 15th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Claremont Club, located at 1777 Monte Vista Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711.
The "Roll & Rally Sports Blast" promises a day filled with excitement and camaraderie, offering participants of all abilities the opportunity to experience the thrill of wheelchair sports. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the morning session will provide an open and welcoming environment for everyone to try their hand at wheelchair tennis, rugby, and Over-the-Line (OTL) baseball.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., the afternoon session will feature a spirited mini-tennis tournament, limited to 12 wheelchair users, who will each be paired with a standing player to compete in an engaging Up-Down (Wheels & Heels) tournament. This unique format fosters teamwork and highlights the power of inclusive competition.
"We're incredibly excited to bring the 'Roll & Rally Sports Blast' to the community," says Lisa Hilborn, MA, CAPE, Casa Colina’s Director of Recreational Therapy and Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports Program. "This event is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with and without physical disabilities to come together, try new sports, and experience the joy of inclusive recreation. It’s all about breaking down barriers and celebrating the power of movement."
Everyone is welcome to participate, and individuals with and without physical disabilities are encouraged to join in the fun. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participation is limited to three guests per para-athlete.
