Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare was privileged to host the launch of Aaron Baker’s world cycling tour, a testament to his unwavering determination and a living example of what’s possible. As a professional motocross athlete, Aaron's life took an unexpected turn in 1999 when a spinal cord injury left him paralyzed from the chin down. Told he had an improbable chance of ever feeding himself again, Aaron defied the odds. He transformed his life, focusing on rebuilding and redefining what was achievable.

During his visit to Casa Colina, Aaron shared his incredible story and insights with Casa Colina patients, staff, and other community members facing similar challenges. His message of maintaining a positive attitude and overcoming perceived limitations resonated deeply, reminding everyone that resilience and determination can pave the way to a fulfilling life.

Aaron's visit also highlighted the beginning of his groundbreaking Adversity Into Adventure World Tour. With the goal of cycling across the United States and then to global destinations, Aaron is raising awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research. The tour kicked off with an inspiring ride from Upland to Rancho Cucamonga, with several Casa Colina staff and patients joining Aaron for the first leg.

Aaron's journey reminds us that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit can soar. Casa Colina is proud to support Aaron and his mission to empower individuals with spinal cord injuries around the world.
