Exoskeleton Technology: Empowering Mobility
One of the highlights of the showcase was a demonstration of exoskeleton technology. Attendees witnessed firsthand how this remarkable technology can help patients with spinal cord injuries, stroke, and other neurological conditions regain mobility and independence. Seeing a patient who uses a wheelchair walk with the assistance of an exoskeleton was truly memorable.
Disorders of Consciousness Program
The showcase also highlighted the Casa Colina Center for Disorders of Consciousness (C³DoC), a specialized program offering evidence-based clinical management and innovative therapeutic interventions for patients with acquired brain injuries that result in Disorders of Consciousness. C³DoC is one of only a few dedicated programs nationwide providing this level of specialized care.
An Interactive Experience
Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to interact with the Casa Colina Research Institute team, learn about their work, and explore some of the equipment and instruments used in patient therapy and research studies.
